In the last few weeks I’ve been seeing wood ducks of greatly varied ages. Some especially young for this time of year. Sure you’d expect to see the juveniles that are almost fully grown but I’ve been seeing them just a couple weeks old in mid August. Below are a few recent images of these young Wood Duck Chicks. For more images of ducks I invite you visit my nature and wildlife photo gallery dedicated to ducks.

What sweet pictures of the ducks, Steve! I love ducks and need to visit the rest of your photos. I wonder whether you ever get Harlequins. I see them off the coast of Rhode Island in the winter (where, by the way, we had a Snowy Owl last January).
